YESENOV LECTURES: SEASON 3
26 April with the lecture of the biologist, an expert in bioinformatics and drug-design* Peter Vlasov (Centre for Genomic Regulation, Spain) The Shakhmardan Yessenov Foundation wraps up the third season of Yessenov Lectures.
The season finale turned out to be extremely interesting. April 20, students-geologists in Satbayev KazNITU welcomed the academician of the Russian Academy of natural Sciences Boris Zeilik. The topic of his lecture was “Remote sensing and shock-explosive technology” about new methods of forecasting of mineral deposits. And on April 25 at the Suleyman Demirel University The Yessenov Lecture was held by the President of Steelhead Productions Sean Combs and President of Guidant Financial Group Jeremy Ames (both – USA). They shared with the students their expertise in strategic leadership and spoke about how to lead a team and to carry them from idea to implementation.
— In the framework of the project of Shakhmardan Yessenov Foundation since 2014 we gave 45 lectures, about 3 thousand students took part in them, the lectures were held at 12 universities in Kazakhstan, 33 experts in their fields were our guest speakers. Normally we finish our season before the examination session so as not to disturb students to pass exams, preparing to defend their paper works, etc. — shared the program coordinator Grigory Lee. The fourth season kicks off lectures at the end of September when the universities start the new academic year.We have huge plans for the new season. And I can say for sure: we will continue to expand the scope of the spheres and experts we are going to invite as guest speakers. We also plan to have more lectures in English and state — Kazakh — language.
In the completing academic year financier Magzhan Auezov, professor Alistair Neal, a specialist in the development of society Ainura Absemetova, venture financier Eugene Timko, climber Maksut Zhumayev, a member of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees Eldar Akhmetgaliyev, showman Murat Muturganov, architect Assel Yeszhanova, energetic Ruslan Raqymbai, HR specialist Saltanat Abiltayeva, businessman and founder of the Foundation Galimzhan Yessenov among others took part in the Yessenov Lectures.
