2016 NEW YEAR WISH TREE
New Year Wish Tree – the good and old project that has become a tradition now – lights up on December 8.
It has been now six consecutive years that every New Year the volunteers of the Komanda SOS team turn into wizards and make wishes come true for children with special needs – bringing gifts that these children want the most.
This year the Almaty Rotary Club and Sputnik shopping mall are joining the project to make a real celebration for these children. We visted ARDI (Association of parents of children with special needs) together with the photographers from Vox Populi, the Abdusalyamov sisters. We had a photo shoot with 25 kids who then shared their wish lists. Ages varied from 2 to 15.
Pictures of children with their wish lists will be up on www.voxpopuli.kz and Christmas tree at the Sputnik shopping mall and published on our pages. On January 13, the so-called Old New Year’s Day, all these 25 children will receive their gifts from Santa. If you want to join the project and help making or donating a present to a particular child, please contact the reception of the Sputnik shopping centre. Alternatively, you may reach us by phone in Almaty: + 7 727 349 40 04.
