Two well-known guest speakers joined the family of the Yessenov lecturers in February at Almaty’s universities. Pavel Koktyshev and Tilektes Adambekov are both known professionals in their fields.
On February 23 and 25, the students of al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU) and the Ryskulov New Economic University (NEU) met with the graduate of the Bolashak program Tilektes Adambekov. He is from Karagandy, studied in Shanghai with major in telecommunications and the founder of the Association of Kazakh students in China and is the Director of Silk Road, a Kazakh-Chinese Center of Cooperation that specializes in attracting investments into Kazakhstan from China.
Tilektes talked about his experience of nine years of living and studying in China and the activities of the Students Association. The 26-year-old lecturer was welcomed by the students of the Department of Oriental Studies in KazNU, and their peers from various departments in NEU. In April one more Yessenov Lecture by Tilektes is scheduled to be held in Kazakh-British Technical University.
Another of our February speakers was Pavel Koktyshev, co-founder and CEO of young entrepreneurs’ Club MOST, and business coach. Pavel is the graduate of Suleyman Demirel University and KIMEP (both in Kazakhstan) and also the representative of the Global Entrepreneurship Network and the curator of the Global Shapers community of the World Economic Forum.
On February 10 he delivered a lecture to the students of KBTU, and on the 29th he met with the marketing, management and economics majors of the KazNU. Pavel Koktyshev revealed to the students how to release their creative potential and build a global company. Moreover, an entrepreneur and a TV presenter, Pavel also shared some of the “secrets” of innovative international and Kazakhstan companies and how the MOST helps students with startups.
