SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM KICKS OFF JANUARY 23

Each of the winning students during the year will be – in addition to primary scholarship – receive 25 thousand tenge monthly.

– According to the rules of the program, applicant must be of 2nd or 3rd year undergraduate or 1st year master student of Kazakh universitiy and be a citizen of the country. In memory of the greatest Kazakh geologist and Academician – Shakhmardan Yessenov – we traditionally financially provide students with geological, technical, engineering and IT specializations. The Foundation’s scholarship in any case does not negate other scholarships a student receive. Usually we award 5 scholarships, but in the year of the 90th anniversary from the birthday of Yessenov, we have decided to increase the number to 20, – said the Executive Director of the Foundation Aiganym Malisheva.

The selection of fellows will be made in accordance with the number of “Excellent” marks in a transcript and the participation of an applicant in scientific conferences and social life of his/her university. The winners of the two rounds will be eliminated by the Expert Board of the Foundation while the list of winners then will be approved the Board of Trustees of a charitable organization.

– To participate in the scholarship program the one needs to send a request and all the necessary documents through the email: info@yessenovfoundation.org. We expect to publish a list of the 20 winners, holders of the scholarship by the middle of April 2017, – shared with us the program coordinator Ilzira Aldagarova.
