YESSENOV LECTURES continue at the Yessenov and Satpayev Universities
The Yessenov Science and Education Foundation is continuing its series of guest lectures. In the lead-up to the Geologist Day, two lectures have taken place in the cities of Almaty and Aktau on April 3 at the Satpayev and Yessenov Technical Universities, respectively.
Yessenov lectures is a series of guest lectures delivered at the Kazakhstani universities and aimed at helping students with professional growth. The lecturers are professionals and leading specialists in their fields such as oil and gas, education, business and self-development.
Students of the Yessenov University will have the chance to attend a lecture on Acid Stimulation delivered by Nurlan Kulshinbayev, Drilling Specialist at Tengizchevroil LLP, Trican Well Service (Canada). Designed in English, the lecture aims to enhance students’ technical language skills and is also a logical extension to the Foundation’s English language program currently running at the institution in collaboration with the University and Bonas MacFarlane Education Kazakhstan. Moreover, the lectures are of practical nature with indoor testing using the equipment provided by Halliburton for the occasion.
The lecture for the students of the Satpayev University is on Measurement and Logging While Drilling at 14:30. The lecturer is Bolat Ismailov, Oil and Gas Exploration Engineer and Drilling Supervisor at Tengizchevroil. The subject is a very technical one as it strongly relates to the real-life exploration and production. Students will learn about the principles of logging and telemetry while drilling.
In the course of the Yessenov Lectures, students will have a unique opportunity to cross paths with interesting people who achieved much success in their walks of life, people who could be looked up to as role models by the young generation of Kazakhstani scientists and experts.
Through these lectures, Kazakhstani students will expand their horizons and gain knowledge useful for their personal and professional growth.
