“Shahmardan Yessenov Memorial” chess tournament

The tournament takes place in the celebration of the 90^th anniversary of the scientist and public figure, Shakhmardan Yessenov.  The prize fund is a hefty 1 million 200 thousand tenges. The competition follows the 9-round Swiss system.  Call for applications is open and will remain so till March 20.
