For reference, in 2014 there were only 64 applications.<\/p>\n<p>The absolute leader in number of the submitted applications \u2013 84 \u2013 is\u00a0<strong>the Nazarbayev University<\/strong>. Among the leaders are also the Gumilyov Eurasian National University, al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Asfendiyarov Kazakh Medical University, Kazakh British Technical University and the Buketov Karagandy State University.<\/p>\n<p>On\u00a0<strong>January 5<\/strong>, the first round results, i.e. list of 30 students, will be published on the foundation\u2019s website. \u00a0The next stage of the grant competition -interviews and business games \u2013 will take place<strong>\u00a0from 22 to 25 January 2016 in Astana and Almaty<\/strong>. \u00a0The exact date, time and venue of the second stage of the competition will also be published on the foundation&#8217;s website until the end of the current year.<\/p>\n<p>We expect to determine the names of the<strong>\u00a010 winner<\/strong>s and publish them\u00a0<strong>by February 1<\/strong>. In the summer of 2016, these students will go to the best labs of the US universities.
