How has studying at the YDL impacted his career and professional growth? <\/strong><\/p>\n

How I got into Computer Science
\n<\/strong>My interest began back in school, when I first discovered programming and realized what a powerful tool it is for solving a wide range of problems. Over time, I became particularly interested in working with data and finding patterns within it. This led me to SDU<\/a><\/strong>, where I delved deeper into analytical and technical subjects. I consciously chose this field because it combines logic, creativity, and practical value.<\/p>\n

What stood out at the YDL
\n<\/strong>The most memorable aspect of the YDL for me was the people I met. Many of them have since become world-renowned scientists, recognized experts in their fields, or successful entrepreneurs. I also remember working as part of a team on a real-world case, where we had to quickly dive into the problem and propose a solution. All of this was accompanied by strong competition, along with openness and support from all participants and, of course, the organizers at the Shakhmardan Yessenov Foundation. It was fascinating to observe how different teams approached problem-solving, each in their own way. Feedback from experts was also invaluable, helping us take a fresh look at our own approaches.\"\"<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Winning the YDL competition and useful tips
\n<\/strong>I believe I won primarily because I scored high on the tests, though luck may have also played a role. I would advise future competition participants to focus not only on the solution during tests and interviews, but also on explaining the reasoning behind it. \u00a0This is just as important as being able to listen to other team members and quickly adapt to new input. That\u2019s the advice I can share with those who will join the YDL in the coming months<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

What I gained from the Summer School
\n<\/strong>It provided me with invaluable experience in tackling real-world business challenges and a deeper understanding of how analytics is applied in practice. I learned to structure information more quickly and identify key metrics. What stood out most was the intensive format, which required moving from initial analysis to a ready-made solution in a very short timeframe. Even 8 years after completing the YDL, this experience continues to help me work effectively in today\u2019s uncertain environment.<\/p>\n

How my career has evolved
\n<\/strong>Before participating in the YDL, I was studying at university and gradually developing skills in data analysis and programming. The Summer School for Analysts gave me a structured mindset, and the ability to work with data and machine learning models. All of this started to benefit me immediately after completing the YDL. My career began at Chocofamily<\/a><\/strong> Holding, where I analyzed user data and contributed to<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

improving product metrics. Later, I joined Beeline<\/a><\/strong>, where I focused on developing analytical models and optimizing business processes. After that, I moved to Ryadom<\/a><\/strong>, an ultra-fast grocery delivery company, where I worked on data analysis and logistics optimization. Later, I joined Yandex as a product analyst, responsible for analyzing user behavior, conducting A\/B testing, and making data-driven product decisions. Currently, I lead the analytics team at inDrive<\/a><\/strong>.Products.<\/p>\n

What I do outside of analytics?<\/strong>
\n<\/strong>In my free time, I balance active and relaxing activities. I enjoy playing table tennis – it helps me switch off and recharge after work. I also like exploring case studies and reading articles on analytics and artificial intelligence to stay professionally sharp. As for leisure activities, I enjoy discovering new places and cities, especially those known for delicious food, and watching anime.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s next?
\n<\/strong>In the next couple of years, I plan to deepen my expertise in marketing analytics and further develop my skills in AI implementation.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
